The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Han Seong-sook, hereinafter referred to as MSS) announced that the official website and KakaoTalk Plus Channel for the “Korea Grand Festival,” a nationwide consumer celebration, were officially launched on Thursday, October 23.

The Korea Grand Festival, to be held nationwide for 12 days from October 29 to November 9, is one of Korea’s largest-ever consumer events. It brings together central government ministries, local governments, major retailers, traditional markets, SMEs, and small business owners – both online and offline – in a nationwide campaign to boost domestic spending and support inclusive growth.

The newly launched integrated website serves as a cross-ministerial hub platform, jointly operated by ten ministries, including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS), the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST), the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), the Ministry of Interior and Safety (MOIS), the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF), the Office for Government Policy Coordination (OPC), and the Korea Customs Service (KCS). It is designed to help citizens browse and participate in discount events, promotional exhibitions, and traditional market programs taking place across the country.

Within the website, visitors can explore :
     • Ministry-led sales and promotional events
     • Discount benefits and featured products
     • Regional festivals by city and province
     • National programs such as the Sangsaeng Payback and Sangsaeng Consumption Lottery

The “Event Details by Section” provides quick links to flagship programs led by participating ministries, such as “Travel in Autumn” (MCST), “Agri-Food Discounts & Surprises” (MAFRA), “Korea Sale Festa” (MOTIE), “Together Festival” (MSS), and “Post Office Shopping Festival” (MSIT). These direct links allow visitors to access information on each program with a single click.

The ”Discount Offers by Category” presents details of special sales and exhibitions in major sectors, including automobiles, home appliances, daily necessities, fashion and apparel, seafood, livestock, accommodation, culture and leisure, and online marketplaces for small business owners.

In addition, the “All Benefits at a Glance” menu consolidates information on major consumer promotion programs – such as discounts on regional gift certificates, digital Onnuri vouchers, the Sangsaeng Payback and Sangsaeng Lottery, credit card promotions, and public-private delivery app events – making it easier for consumers to participate.

More than 40 regional festivals to be held across 16 cities and provinces are also visualized through an infographic-style guide, providing quick access to details on each event’s schedule, location, and highlights.

Through the official KakaoTalk Plus Channel (“Korea Grand Festival (코리아 그랜드 페스티벌)” in Korean), users can receive real-time, personalized notifications about events and promotions tailored to their interests.

Lee Dae-geon, Director-General for Micro-Enterprise Policy at MSS, stated:
“By integrating consumer event information by ministry, region, and product category into a single, accessible platform, we have created an official communication channel that allows the public to view all nationwide festivities at a glance. We hope for active participation from citizens in this national festival of consumption.”
